Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles in her early life thanks to her inventive and innovative imagination. Songs were written by her before she knew how to read and write. When she was 8, she got her first electric guitar. She started singing at an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. That same year, she recorded her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. Although she was in school, she had established a name for herself within the local arena. Her goal was to be able to perform at a much bigger level. After she finished her high school, in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart at the top of Monument Records. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for the next girl to perform on his television show that was syndicated. Parton was hired in the year 1967 she signed with RCA Records by 1968, and was a part of the Grand Ole Opry. In 1974, she quit The Wagoner's Show due to the popularity of her singles like Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was way ahead of their joint release. Parton composed I Will Always Love You to Wagoner following their split. It reached number one. 1 for the first time since 1974.
